AdvertPRO - Linux Upgrade

Step #1: Download Files

Please follow the instructions provided to you by e-mail to download AdvertPRO from the Renegade Internet extranet web site.

Step #2: Installation

To install the update, you'll need to take the following steps:

  1. Upload advertpro-<version>.jar to your server and place it in the ~/webapps/advertpro directory where you've deployed AdvertPRO to.
  2. Stop your Java application server.
  3. cd ~/webapps/advertpro
  4. jar -xf advertpro-<version>.jar
  5. rm -f advertpro-<version>.jar
  6. Start your Java application server.

Warning Warning

Before upgrading to MySQL 5.0 or the MySQL Connector/J 3.1 or 5.0 JDBC drivers, you must first upgrade AdvertPRO to version 1.0 build 9147 or higher and run it at least once. AdvertPRO will, upon startup, upgrade your database tables to be compatible with them automatically. After successfully upgrading AdvertPRO, you can then safely upgrade MySQL and the JDBC driver to the new versions.
